Erin Thorne, ND
Dr. Thorne is a first-year resident joining the Holistique Medical Center team. She received her Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine, in addition to a master of science in Integrative Medical Research, from the National University of Natural Medicine in Portland, Oregon.
While in medical school, Dr. Thorne acquired a special interest in cancer and spent her extracurricular time with naturopathic doctors who focused primarily on integrative oncology care. As part of her master’s research thesis, she conducted a breast cancer cell study, utilizing vitamin A and an extract from broccoli sprouts called sulforaphane. She is also very passionate about biofeedback and the importance of establishing a healthy mind-body connection. While earning her undergraduate degree at San Francisco State University, she conducted a study that used biofeedback to improve mind body awareness. It is easy to see that Dr. Thorne has a passion for research and for contributing new research to the integrative medical field.
In her training, Dr. Thorne also took courses in phytotherapy, botanicals, environmental medicine, IV therapy, physical medicine, and behavioral medicine. At Holistique Medical Center, she is seeing patients for nutritional counseling, IV therapy, cold laser therapy, nutritional counseling, regulation thermometry, Ondamed, and neural therapy.
When she isn’t at the clinic with her patients, Dr. Thorne resides here in Bellevue with her husband and their little girl. She feels truly honored to be working with the patients here and looks forward to the coming years at Holistique.
